MASSAD AYOOB GROUP TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

Massad Ayoob Group "MAG-20 Range Course" coming to the Daytona Beach, FL area on December 1st and 2nd, 2012!

This is a great opportunity to receive world class training from one of the Massad Ayoob Group Staff Instructors.  In case you've been living under a very large rock for a long time, here's a little background information on Massad Ayoob the Massad Ayoob Group and the training methods he's pioneered:

Massad Ayoob has been handgun editor of Guns magazine and law enforcement editor of American Handgunner since the 1970s, and has authored thousands of articles that have been published in various magazines, publications, and law enforcement journals.

He is the author of more than a dozen books on firearms, self-defense, and related topics, including “In the Gravest Extreme,” widely considered to be the authoritative text on the topic of the use of lethal force.  Ayoob founded the Lethal Force Institute (LFI) in 1981 and served as its director until 2009, and now trains through the Massad Ayoob Group (MAG).

The winner of the Outstanding American Handgunner of the Year Award in 1998, He has won several state and regional handgun shooting championships. Ayoob is one of approximately ten Five Gun Masters among the 10,000-member International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA), and was the first to earn that title.

He served 19 years as chair of the Firearms Committee of the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers (ASLET), and several years as a member of the Advisory Board of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA).  He has received judicial recognition as an expert witness for the courts in weapons and shooting cases since 1979, and has been a fully sworn and empowered, part time police officer for 36 years.

In case you missed that "The Man" has literally, LITERALLY, "written the book" (or in his case "the books") on the carry and use of self-defense firearms; as well as set the training standard for a generation of Law Enforcement Officers and Armed Citizens.

The MAG-20 Range Course is formally the “StressFire” Course of Massad Ayoob’s Lethal Force Institute.  After interviewing hundreds of officers who had survived gunfights, Ayoob drew on their experiences, combined with his own extensive research to create a powerful combat handgun system, initially known as the "StressFire" shooting method.

Ayoob's research showed that in life threatening situations, human beings experience profound physical and psychological pressures causing deterioration of fine motor skills, and altering perceptions of time and other sensory inputs.

Combining proven shooting techniques with principles from various martial arts styles, the “StressFire” system he developed not only works under the enormous stress of violent encounters but actually feeds off it.

The techniques are now taught in Ayoob's MAG-20 Range Course; a dynamic two day course that is designed to bring out the student's maximum potential for shooting a handgun under stress and to achieve the optimum blend of speed and accuracy.

Students will learn drawing from positions of concealment, two-handed shooting stances, one-handed shooting with either hand, positions that work from behind cover, speed reloading and more; with overall emphasis on fast, accurate shot placement.

Training includes completion of a police-style qualification course. The MAG-20 Range Course is ideal for the shooter who wishes to hone and fine-tune their techniques and/or develop new skills with a self-protection handgun.

Students will fire approximately 500 rounds of ammunition during the course.  Pre-registration is required.  Contact the host:  TripleArcTraining@gmail.com or call 386-259-0572 for a registration packet and required equipment information.

Don't miss out, this class will fill up fast!

As always; Be Aware, Be Prepared, Have a Plan, Act Without Hesitation!
